Adai Dosa Recipe - How to make Adai Dosa Recipe


Adai Dosa recipe - Mixed dals dosa is very nutritious compared to normal black gram and rice dosa as it is a combo of 5 different varieties of dals.




Ingredients:

1. Rice - 1 cup
2. Bengal Gram - 1/2 cup
3. Green Gram - 1/2 cup
4. Black Gram - 1/2 cup
5. Red Gram - 1/2 cup (Can be even less)
6. Ground Nuts - 1/2 cup
7. Fenugreek Seeds - 1/2 tsp
8. Sago - 1 tsp
9. Salt - As per taste
10. Green Chillies - 4
11. Ginger - 1 small piece
12. Oil - As per requirement


Procedure:

1. Soak first 8 ingredients for 4 hrs.





2. Add chillies, ginger and grind soaked dals like dosa batter.

3. Add salt and prepare dosas using the batter.



Serving Suggestions:

1. Tastes good with tomato and gingelly chutney.
2. While preparing dosas can top the dosas with chopped onion, coriander and cumin seeds.

Raagi Laddu - Finger Millets Laddu Recipe - Raagi Ladoos


Ragi Laadu or Finger Millets Ladoo is a very tasty and a healthy laddu. There are many laddu varieties but ragi laddu is very nutritious. Ragulu in Telugu or Finger Millets in English as we call is a very rich in nutrients millet. When compared to other millets and cereals, Ragi is rich in protiens, it is also a good source of calcium and iron. It helps in weight reduction because of its slow digestion rate.

Also it is fewer in calories and rich in fibers. Regular consumption of Ragi lowers the risk of cholestrol and diabetes.
Ragi Laddu needs very few ingredients and also the preparation time is less. Ragi Laddu is my first Laddu recipe in my blog. Do check my Boondhi Laddu recipe too. Also check my Ragi Onion Dosa recipe to learn dosas using Ragi flour.



Ingredients for Ragi Ladoo:
1. Raagi flour - 1 cup
2. Ghee - 1/4 cup (For roasting)
3. Sugar Powder - 1/2 cup
4. Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
5. Ghee - 1/2 cup (For making laddus)
6. Grated Coconut Powder - As needed

Procedure:
1. Heat a thick bottomed pan, add 1/4 cup ghee add allow the ghee to melt
2. Now add ragi flour and roast the flour till it changes its colour and nice aroma comes out
3. It takes almost 10 to 15 minutes for roasting the flour on low flame
4. Now switch off the flame and add sugar powder and cardamom powder to the roasted ragi flour
5. Let it cool down for 5 to 7 minutes
6. When it is still warm add remaining 1/2 cup ghee and start making Laddus
7. After making ladoos, spread grated coconut powder in a plate and roll the ladoos in the coconut powder so that it sticks to the ladoo all over
8. Healthy and nutritious ragi Laddu is ready. Store in an air tight container, they stay good for almost 15 days to 1 month
9. Rolling in coconut powder gives a nice appetizing look to the black laddus.

Sprouts Masala


Sprouts Masala is a very tasty and most nutritious food.

Ingredients:


1. Sprouts: Green grams, Garbanzo(Kabuli Chana), White kidney    beans (1 cup each)
2. Chopped Carrot- 1 cup
3. Tomato Pury- 1 cup
     4. Oil- As required
     5. Mustard seeds, Jeera- 1/4 spoon each
     6. Chopped Onion- 1/4 cup
     7. Chopped Green Chillies- 1 spoon
     8. Ginger garlic paste- 1 spoon
     9. Salt, Red chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Garam Masala powder- As per taste
    10. Chopped Coriander leaves- 2 spoons
     11. Lemon juice- As per taste

Procedure:
1.    Soak sprouts overnight till roots come out from them.
2.      Half boil soaked and raised sprouts.
3.     Heat oil in a kadai.
4.      Add mustard seeds and jeera let them splitter.
5.      Add onion and green chilly pieces and fry.
6.      Add boiled sprouts and cook well.
7.      Add chopped carrot and cook well.
8.      Add tomato pury and cook for some time.
9.      Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and cook for some more time.
10.  Switch off and garnish with coriander leaves and add lemon juice as per taste.
11.  Chatpata and tasty sprouts masala is ready to serve. Preferred serving with chapathi and puri or can also be taken as a snack.
